Project 6060 – Lesson 24
The Most Successful Singer in History
My brother and I are really into rock music. I play guitar and my brother has a really good voice. Out of all the singers in the world, we love Elvis Presley. In our opinion, Elvis was the ‘king of rock and roll’ and very skilled in this style of music. We have almost all of this american singer and actor’s songs and films.
Last year we went to Memphis to see his resting place. It was really busy there and hundreds of his fans were there. His resting place is one of America’s centres of tourism. It seems he still lives in the hearts of his devotees.
It’s interesting that, even after his death, sales of his works have increased and, selling one billion copies of his works, he still holds the record and is considered the most successful singer in history.
My brother and I, like Elvis, really love our mother and we recorded our first song for her and gave it to her as a present on her birthday.
